What is NUI?

Novell Users International (NUI) has evolved from the need for IT professionals to have an organization that keeps them up to date on rapid technological advances. Your local chapter and the NUI virtual community offer educational, networking and social events that help its members manage their careers, reap the benefits that come with being a trained professional in this highly specialized and complex field and have a little fun too! While we support Novell products we welcome other vendors speakers and content. The Toronto Area Novell Users Group is a partner member of NUI.

What is eDirectory?

eDirectory™ is a cross-platform LDAP directory that provides you with the technology you need to securely and centrally manage all the information that relates to your users and company resources . By centralizing administration in eDirectory and automating many management tasks, you can eliminate administrative redundancies and save your organization significant amounts of money. With eDirectory, you can create customer loyalty by offering new applications and services based on highly personalized user profiles and user behavior. Single sign on by SecureLogin effectively reduces the number of password reset calls to the helpdesk, so IT administrators spend less time dealing with password-related calls. Identity management using Identity Manager, you can provision new employees 95 percent faster, and eliminate those tedious, labor-intensive manual procedures that usually accompany the hiring process. Configuration management  by ZENworks Configuration Management lowers your cost of ownership by using a unique policy-based approach to automate software setup, updates, healing and migration for desktop computers.
